Terms & clinic policies.

The terms below cover booking, cancellation, payment, scope of practice and our reciprocal expectations during treatment. By booking an appointment you agree to them.

1. About us

Rebecca Gomes is the practitioner behind this private practice. Treatment is delivered from her clinic at Burgau Sports Centre in the Algarve, Portugal and at Harley Street Specialist Hospital, London.

2. Scope of practice

Rebecca is an MSK consultant, sports therapist and rehabilitation practitioner with master's-level training in physiotherapy, physiology and psychotherapy. We do not provide emergency or urgent medical care. If your condition requires urgent attention, please contact your local emergency services or family doctor.

3. Booking

Appointments are booked through our online calendar, by email, or by phone. By making a booking you confirm that the information you have provided is accurate and that you have read and accepted these terms.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel or reschedule for free up to 24 hours before your appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours are charged at 50% of the session fee. Missed appointments without notice are charged in full. We reserve the right to waive these charges in exceptional circumstances at our sole discretion.

5. Fees & payment

Current fees are available on request. Payment is taken at the time of booking for online consultations, or in clinic on the day for in-person appointments.

6. Treatment & consent

Before treatment begins you will be asked to provide informed consent. You may withdraw consent at any time and stop treatment. We will explain proposed techniques and any reasonable alternatives, and document discussions in your clinical record.

7. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim arising in connection with our services is limited to the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

8. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your care, please raise the matter directly with Rebecca in the first instance. If your concern cannot be resolved that way, you have the right to complain to the relevant professional regulator in the jurisdiction where treatment was delivered.

9. Governing law

UK clinic services are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Algarve clinic services are governed by Portuguese law.
